So far... In 2012...
The thing I am most proud to have accomplished is making it to spin 4 weeks in a row.
3 early on Saturday mornings.
1 after work on a Monday.
The fact that Saturdays are quickly becoming my favorite part of the week is also the biggest surprise of 2012 so far.
And now… I nap.
Midnight.
Up in 7 hours & 20 minutes.
Already dressed. Throw on shoes, brush teeth, pull hair back, make smoothie to go. Etc.
Out the door by 7:45.
Gym by 8:25. Sign up at 8:45.
Spin spin spin at 9:15.
(Sing along the whole time.)

Weekend Preview/Report!
Yesterday: Woke up to e-mail from Dreamy McDreamerson. You don’t even know how it made my day.
Today: Met a marketing director for a theater in DC this morning, who is consulting in our offices for the day. He informs me that McDreamy is reprising another role in a play at his theater in DC this summer for several weeks. Guess who is DEFINITELY making a trip to DC in July? This girl....

Monday Funday!
Okay, not really. But I tried. Though it was a hell of a lot more fun than Sunday, where I did a quick 20 minutes on the treadmill inbetween coughing & working online for 10 hours straight. Worked a little, chatted with coworkers, continued coughing, and then tried a new spin instructor at the newest gym close to my work. My one coworker went with me, which was great! The Coughing Does Not Stop the Workout
Woke up this morning - checked my text messages to see the snow/ice were too bad for our bridesmaid dress shopping outting and it was now cancelled - then back to sleep I went. And despite my never-ending coughing fits all last night (and this morning) I slept til noon.
Til nooooon. And yet I was still exhausted. The cold. The snow. The ice. The cough. The excitement of last night… just...
Finally
775 calories burned.
Now…. Home.
Fire. Sweatpants. Hoodie. Thick socks. American Idol (Pittsburgh auditions! Hometown Holla!)
Meals to pack for tomorrow. Dress to pick out for opening night of latest show. But for now… I couch. So needed as I’ve developed a cough I’ve been fighting all day.
Then sleep. Much, much needed sleep.
So much snow outside...
So much traffic.
The plan that’s in motion now is to gym until the traffic and the snow are cleared.
350 calories burned so far.
Still traffic outside the windows.

Which just HAPPENS to be a 4 pound weight gain since MONDAY. 4 pounds!!! Four pounds.
Oh the joys of being a girl.
I’m currently curled up on the couch feeling bloated and crampy and bitchy. A fabulous combination if I do say so myself.

Today, I had a date with Grandma.
My 90 year old Grandma, while we were in the car today: “Your dad used to run a lot. He used to run all the time — back when he was skinny. Spin Class #2 of 2012 = Complete!
It was really - REALLY - nice to wake up this morning and not be ill with fear over spinning like I was last week. Still, it was hard to leave my warm bed this morning on such a cold, snowy Saturday. But I did. Up at 7:20, smoothie made by 7:40, out the door by 7:45, at the gym by 8:30, in line for sign up sheet at 8:45, on bike for warm up by 9:05, class starts 9:15.
I pushed even harder this...
9 hours from now...
And I’ll be on a bike.
Second spin class. Ever.
Everything’s ready to go - and I’m tucked in bed w the gym clothes already on. Just get up, grab breakfast, and go. No excuses.
Let’s hope my nerves aren’t as intense tomorrow as they were last week. At least this week I know I can survive it… Even if it hurts after for days.

Game On Diet Smoothie
My favorite part of the day, every day, since I’ve discovered this. So easy. So delicious. So filling.
1 cup fat free skim milk
1/2 cup fat free (0%) Greek yogurt
A handful of blueberries
1 tbl chocolate almond butter*
Blend that shit.
Pour into glass.
Drink, drink, slurp.
*Added sometimes as my 100 extra calories per day. Counts as my fat for the meal AND it’s chocolate...

Highlight(s) of the Day: Down four pounds AND it was Hip Hop Wednesday.
Low Point of the Day: The $670 repair bill for my car. And they didn’t even fix what I originally wanted/needed fixed. Ugh.

Total Loss: 4 pounds
Huge relief since on Saturday I was down four pounds then on Monday I was only down 1.1!
Off to shower & get this day over with so I can go to Hip Hop tonight :)

Welp.
The other girl OMB was/is dating - is now pregnant. Annnnnnnnnnnnnd with that said I am going to bed. (Facebook can be your worst enemy sometimes, kids. Suffice it to say - I am even more inspired to stay on this “dating strike” til my goals are met. Men just are not worth it.)

Was too long of a day.
Super early wake up for the spin class, then driving to my gym buddy’s house to shower for a wedding I barely made it to at 1. Late wedding luncheon w the bride & groom & their family. Then raced home to change before leaving to pick up my friend & take her into the city for a birthday dinner and (9 p.m.) show… That got out at 11:30. Then drove her...
