No Excuses November
katdoeslife: I’m in! thespartanwarrior: I’m challenging you to get in 15 workouts with no excuses over the course of the mon the month of November. That’s it. It’s just 15 different days of workouts without making up an excuse, complaining or trying to squirm your way out of getting active. Who’s up for this? Oh SO done!
Now THAT'S a Monday...
Such a good Monday. Such, such, SUCH a good Monday! Work went quickly, I got a chat & a hug from Dreamy McDreamerson*, Mattie stopped by work w half a chocolate covered S’more for me, I had a great workout and now I’m home, snuggled on the couch in sweatpants with a blanket as I enjoy my sweet potato & Morningstar Falafel wrapped in lettuce. Plus, it’s a four day...
I have basically stopped drinking pop. I no longer crave it, or automatically say yes when offered it. Tonight, at Momma Janita’s house - it was offered and I said no. I genuinely wanted water. Or milk. But had no desire for soda. I wasn’t allowed it during the Game On Diet, so I stopped for that month. Had a few cravings at times - but didn’t miss it a ridiculous amount or...
Sometimes at the gym...
I forget the dance party is only in my head. At least the time passes more quickly when I’m in this mood! :) Finishing up my elliptical lovin/cardio focused/dance party bonanza workout then home to shower before meeting some friends & family for a 2 PM matinee at my theater! So excited for the laughter I’m sure will ensue. I’ve been looking forward to this show since...
I’d like a do-over. This has not been one of my better days. First, it was the puppy parade that I was going to take my friend’s little girl, Raven, to this morning - but then it was cancelled due to the snow… Then it was the gym being closed because of the water main break… Then there was the endless bickering with my father… And then finally - the dinner out...
"Due to a water main break..."
The gym is closed today. At least, that’s what the sign says. I’m convinced it’s an evil plan by the staff to get Halloween Party Saturday off. But maybe that’s just me being bitter because I’m only now regretting not having more fun weekend plans. (I’m really not big on Halloween tho - unless it involves watching my babies trick or treat in WV.) Either way,...
Frustrating Arizona Discussions
Me: I wonder what the difference is price-wise for renting a UHaul vs. Pod for moving to Arizona.
Dad: It doesn't matter, because we don't think you'll actually move back.
Me: (pause) What are you talking about? I'm moving back. So start thinking that.
Dad: Oh I doubt it will happen.
Me: Stop. I AM moving back.
Dad: We just don't think you can pull it off.
Me: Pull what off?
Dad: Actually doing it. We just don't think you'll go. You won't have enough money & your debt won't be paid off that fast.
Me: Well let me be clear - I AM going.
Dad: We don't think so.
(I go to another room, where my mom is sitting.)
Me: Let me be PERFECTLY clear - come October 2012 - I am moving back to Arizona.
Mom: Why? What did your dad say?
Me: That "we" don't think I'll actually do it.
Mom: (half listening) Well, we'll see what happens.
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Dough Balls = SUCCESS!
Well. Unless you ask my mother. Who hated them. But all of my coworkers loved them - and they were ALL gone right away. Which is great, because I didn’t want to have to eat them all. I mean, I wanted to…but I can’t. Today’s an off-workout day, due to working both jobs. Early meetings this morning, back to my desk to catch up this afternoon… then rush hour traffic to...

And even with all whole wheat flour — they turned out pretty delish! For the record I am limiting myself to one. I repeat. I am limiting myself to one. JUST. ONE. :) (According to my internet digging & calculating - they are about 150 calories each. But they are a pretty big size, so I feel that’s okay. As long as I stick to my just one.)
